When the pandemic started, 9-year-old Sofia and 11-year-old Luke decided to create a newsletter that only shared good news. They’ve had forty editions now––one comes out every Sunday––and all of them are amazing! They contain heartwarming stories, inspiring quotes, word searches, and much more! They put a little work into the newsletter every day.

Flowers for Friends

Flowers for Friends was founded by Sophie Pennock-Collins when she was just six years old. Flowers for Friends grows flowers, makes bouquets and vases with them, and sells them on Saturday mornings at the Black Rock Farmers Market. All the money raised goes to the homeless. Even though it’s been eleven years since it was founded, Flowers for Friends is still helping the lives of many people.
